on to new adventures....

today was my LAST day at HGBC daycare and mothers morning out programs...It was sadder than I thought it would be but I am excited to move on to another adventure. I will miss the staff and the kids but I am happy to have a little more consistency in my life. In one week I will be starting a new job as a nanny to a sweet little boy named Luke. It will definitely be a change but a good one at that. I know that I will have some interesting stories so stay tuned...

Dearest Verizon,

After 4 years I was elated to hear that the iphone would be coming to my favorite cell phone provider. So elated in fact, tears almost began flowing. It was an epic moment. However that epic moment soon turned to shear sadness when it was explained that loyal verizon customers {such as my self} would not be able to get the iphone at the upgrade price. So this loyal customer of 8 years will now have to a. pay 600 dollars for the iphone or b. wait until January 2012 when I have an upgrade. Perhaps I will just pay my termination fee at verizon and head on over to att and get the iphone there. pretty sure that all of that would still cost less that buying the iphone at verizon. thank you for releasing a phone that half the customers will not be able to buy. well done.

hither and yon

gabe and I spent christmas vacation driving all over creation. we drove from Charlotte to Effingham to Upland and back to Charlotte. It took three days of driving, thousands of miles and numerous pits stops with the dog. A daunting task but definitely worth it. we spent the first week with my family in new hampshire....as always it was interesting...

And yes. we are all in our 20's and we are still wearing matching sweaters and pajamas. we like too keep tradition alive.

we had to leave New Hampshire in the early morning hours of decemeber 26th and Karen arrived around the time we had to leave....soooo what did we decide to do? have sibling christmas at 3am. wise choice. It was well worth it in my opinion. SO good to see the soon to be sister in law. and hey, we look pretty good for 3am.

after a fun filled week at my moms we headed off to Upland Indiana. we went from 7 crazy adult children to 7 wonderful nieces ad nephews! we had a blast with Gabe's siblings and his nieces and nephews LOVED gidget!

We also took the kids to a Taylor University Women's Basketball game! it was a ton of fun to be back on campus and the kids had fun too...

our break was CRAZY but well worth it. gidget survived and so did we. I am definitely ready for a vacation though....
