oh fall.
I love fall time. I love it more in New Hampshire...but its ok here too. the house is finally coming together...we definitely have a lot of projects left to do but its definitely coming along. Flag football is in full swing and the guys are ready to kick some booty...i hope anyway. I may get my self kicked out for yelling at the refs {my kids probably shouldn't play sports for this reason}but I'm excited none the less. In other news my {very} pregnant sister is about to pop and I cannot wait to meet the cutest little girls on the planet! my poor sister is way too small to have to little people in there and I am really impressed she is continuing to do so...still teaching and running around like a crazy person. Buck and Karen have moved in and the 4 of us are living it up. yard sale-ing and movie watching and fro yo eating...only down side to this new phase of life is that I am still jobless. SO if anyone out there knows of any work...hook. me. up. also buy some mark kay!!!

the kitchen.
when we bought this house I knew the one thing I had to do was the cabinets. I really hated them and I decided I wanted to do them white. Gabe didn't really see the point but after they were done he decided I was right. obvi.

our first house
For the last 4 months or so gabe and I have been looking at houses. we have been hopping from apartment to apartment...seriously. we have lived in 3 different apartment complexes in 2 years. pretty much getting sick of having no space, no yard and throwing our money down the drain. so we spent the summer looking at house. we made offers on 7 houses. 5 didn't get accepted, 1 was a short sale that took 18 hundred years to get accepted and the other was our lovely house. We got a really good deal on it, but it needs some sprucing up...nothing that cleaning and painting can't fix. we are within walking distance to my sister...so when the twins arrive we will be able to help out if they need us. We close tomorrow, so hopefully everything goes according to plan. I'll post before and after pics as soon as I can!

its 6 am. really?
this morning has been an interesting. this story is dramatic and needs a bit of a introduction. the walls in this joint are paper thin, so its not rare to hear the people next door having a party or playing poker. I few months ago Gabe and I woke up at 6 am to a girl and guy fighting. she was begging him not to go, he was slamming doors. a little annoying but i thought for sure she was just cray cray. this morning was round two and it didn't go quite as smoothly. she was yelling things like 'get off me' and 'help me.' we thought alright a little more serious we should maybe call 911. before we could even call she came running by our apartment screaming for help. straight out of a movie. we called 911 and they of course couldn't find our address...'is mill cove one word?' 'what county are you in?' really people??? we have a women screaming for help here! well charlotte meck cops are really on their game. if you get shot you have a better chance of surviving if you drive yourself to the hospital. they took over 30 minutes to get here...i just think when we tell you a women is screaming for help that should maybe light a fire under your tushy. anything could have happened in 30 minutes! luckily for her nothing did happen, and when the cops finally arrived she sent them on their merry way. So sad. that was her chance to speak up and say something. she had cops right there and instead she told them everything was fine and sent them on their way. I feel bad for her. I pray she makes better choices and gets away from the situation before it gets worse. even gidget was upset. all that fighting can really rattle your nerves.

The Nanny Diaries
I have found that every thing I do starts out well but slowly takes a turn for the worse. Perhaps that is due to a poor attitude, a lack of confidence or my OCD tendencies but it could also just be my luck. I am sure God is trying to challenge me...teach me patience, trust, and peace. I'm sure that's what it is and I am trying to learn. really I am. Over the last 4 months my 'bomb' nanny job has turned into something quite different. I am now cleaning an entire house...which I did not sign up for. I also get to make the beds and do all the laundry. It turns out I'm not a nanny at all...I'm a maid. Who knew. oh! and I'm a push over.
On a happier note we are currently house hunting and I am looking into grad school. Who knows what will happen next... I just pray my current job doesn't kill me before I find out.
