Music Makes the Heart Beat

Yesterday my friend and I were discussing music...we're nerds like that...and I found myself revisiting my freshman and sophomore years of college. Regina Spektor, Snow Patrol, Death Cab for Cutie, The Submarines, Joshua Radin, Rodeo Ruby Love, KT Tunstall, The Postal Service and Jack's Mannequin to name a few of the bands that popped up. It was like heaven. I forgot how much I loved this music. I know as we grow and change throughout life our interests and styles change as well...but man have I missed the music that defined me for so long. This music brings me back to the time I spent with Al and Matt and the time in my life where my brother was honestly my absolute best friend. Now, the people that know me best will be familiar with presence of these bands in my life during my self admitted angsty phase...Thankfully I have out grown that phase in my but I don't think I will ever out grow the music. It's just too good. Life doesn't have to be all Beiber. It really doesn't.
